Opening New Zealand & Australian leg
29 August 1984 – 24 September 1984
Explore this route on the mapAll 19 opening-leg dates match U2.com and U2gigs: four in New Zealand and fifteen in Australia. The official page also groups later European dates under its first-leg heading; those are outside this selection. Apollo Stadium is also called Apollo Entertainment Centre.
THE ARTIST, ON THE ROAD
The opening Australasian chapter connects Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland with Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
All nineteen dates agree between the artist archive and the detailed concert chronology. The Australian dates and venues also match the Australian Concert Tour Database; Adelaide’s Apollo venue is normalised to Apollo Stadium.
This is the opening leg, rather than the full 1984–1985 tour. Later European dates on the official page are outside the selection. No box-office amount is inferred.
